Sweet Dreams

My special studies illustration semester-long project! This was a fun little story idea for a short film (that I'll eventually start on...keyword, eventually ) that all started with simple doodles my friends and I created in my sketchbook some time ago. To see those doodles turn into this...I'm quite surprised! It is 99.9% done in traditional media namely, Copic/Prisma/Tria/Deleter markers and 0.5/01 Micron pens (my favorite combination). The 0.9% is Photoshop editing. Biiig thank you to Cuyler Smith (taught the class) and my friends and critique group for all your help and encouragement!!!
Nana's character sheet. She's the main character of the story!

Rosette's character sheet.  She owns a vegetable garden in Nana's candy-fied dreamworld. P.S. Jessica (if you read this), her full name is totally Dr. Rosette Leek-Chi ;D

Nana waking up in her dream to find that her entire room (and world) has been turned into desserts and candy.

Plaque monsters chasing after Nana, wanting her sweet tasting teeth!

Rosette to the rescue! She covers Nana's mouth so the monsters don't smell her sweet teeth.

In order to leave this world, Nana must defeat the boss of all Plaque Monsters...with a toothbrush!

Background/Environment illustration: Cookie Mountain--where the Plaque Monsters reside.

Rosette's home. Yes, she lives in a turnip.

Terrifying Plaque Monsters!
